IERC 2016: RLG CEO Patrick Wiedemann calls on manufacturers to step up their efforts to develop the Circular Economy

At the International Electronics Recycling Congress (IERC) in Salzburg, stakeholders of electronics recycling discussed the current developments within the industry. Due to the decreasing material value of electrical and electronic waste, the Recycling Industry is currently experiencing difficult times.

Nevertheless, many participants think this to be an interesting prospect for future development, especially towards a Circular Economy. Patrick Wiedemann, CEO of Reverse Logistics Group RLG, emphasized during his speech the importance of manufacturers to take the initiative to develop the Circular Economy and thereby play a key role.

Jean Cox-Kearns, Vice President Environmental Compliance Services at RLG, acted as Chairman of the Steering Committee for the IERC in Salzburg.
